Design Challenges

These design challenges are inspired by picture books and encourage students to use science, technology, engineering, and technology* to solve a problem. When engineering, students are presented with constraints to push their thinking and create rules for their design. I encourage you to use a combination of the Engineering Design Process and the Design Thinking framework to support students' creativity and innovation.

*Technology is defined as anything human made to solve a problem or make life easier (for example, paper, a pencil, spoon, etc.) It is not limited to things requiring electricity or batteries, although that is included.
